Week 4 NFL picks:

1) Cincinnati Bengals @ Jacksonville Jaguars (-1)

Line opened as Bengals (-2.5) point favorites.  Line took a huge swing over the last two days and it looks like there is nothing going on.  Not sure why the line moved so much.  I liked the Bengals at -2.5 and I love the Bengals at +1.  Both defenses in this game are atrocious.  Both in the bottom 5 in rush defenses and bottom 15 in pass defenses.  The difference is that the passing attack of the Bengals is actually good enough to exploit it.  MJD will have a big game, as will BGE, but Andy Dalton and AJ Green will be the difference makers in this game.

The pick: Bengals (+1)

2) New York Giants @ Philadelphia Eagles (-2.5)

The Giants are a better team and the Eagles offense has been suspect at best.  Vick is only behind Brandon Weeden of the Browns for most interceptions.  Nicks being ruled out will hurt the Giants offense, but last week the Giants showed the offense can produce minus two playmakers.  The Giants have also had an extra 4 days of rest.  Bradshaw is back and it will be a two headed attack of Andre Brown and Bradshaw running on the Eagles.  The Eagles have barely squeaked out two wins this year and I think they will go to .500 after this one.

The pick: Giants (+2.5)

3) Pats (-3) (buy the .5 point)

The Pats and Bills always seem to play tough games up in Buffalo.  I wouldn’t be surprised to see Buffalo bring this one to the wire.  That’s why I’m suggesting to buy the .5 point to get the spread down to 3.  Since Belichick has become coach of the Pats they’ve only lost 3 consecutive games since 2002.  Expect the Pats to pull out a close one and turn their season around  Pats 24-20

The pick: Pats (-3)

4) 49ers (-3.5)

No Revis for the Jets.  49ers are coming off their first loss of the season to the Minnesota Vikings.  Expect Harbaugh to have the 49ers ready to play and come back from the loss.  I’m expecting a pretty low scoring game here.  I think the 49ers win this game by about 10 points.  I can’t see a Jets offense of Mark Sanchez, Shonn Greene, Santonio Holmes, and Jeremy Kerley beating this defense.  The best defense in the league will get back to form this week and it’s unfortunate that the Jets are going to be in the way.

The pick: 49ers (-3.5)
