Hot Soup Week 4 Picks

HS2

@AngelSteve89

Indianapolis (- 8.5) @ Jacksonville

The Colts have lots of weapons and Jacksonville is flat out terrible.  Going against Jax every week seems to be the play.

Pittsburgh (-1.5) vs Minnesota in London

I bet London is pumped for this battle of 0-3 teams.  Steelers fans are the best traveled in the league.  Lets see how the do traveling over water.  Two teams that are in big trouble for the rest of the year but someone has to win this week.

Dallas (-1.5) @ San Diego

The Chargers could have won every game this year but  collapsed in the fourth quarter.  Tony Romo is really good in the 4th so expect more of the same for both teams this week.

New Orleans (-6.5) vs. Miami

The Saints are back and the high powered offense is full steam ahead. This is a chance for Miami to prove they are ready for the big stage this year.  I don’t see that happening in the Superdome.

Arizona (+3.5) @ Tampa Bay

Honeybadger is a big time playmaker and it looks like the Cardinals got a steal in the draft.  This is more about Tampa this week though.  The Bucs are going with a rookie QB trying to lead a team with no leadership.  Let’s see if Schiano can make it the whole year as head coach.

@Moefasa11

Indianapolis (- 8.5) @ Jacksonville

The Colts are for real. They put the whole NFL on notice by making two major statements last week. The first one, trading a potential late first round pick for the perfect back for their system, Trent Richardson (Roll Tide). Then, going into SF and man-handling the 49ers. If it wasn’t for an old Colts QB, Luck would be my MVP prediction.

Seattle (-3.5) @ Houston

Seattle is dominant at home and on the road. Houston could very well be 0-3… Russell rolls on.

Denver (-11.5) vs. Philadelphia

Can we stop talking about how much fun and inventive Chip’s offense is yet? The Broncos offense is the best in the league and it really isn’t even close. Oh, and the Eagles have no D.

New Orleans (-6.5) vs. Miami

I love what Joe Philbin has done with this team, and they have a legitimate chance to battle the Patriots for the AFC East crown, BUT, the Saints are back, and they’re better than the Super Bowl Saints.

Cincinnati (-4.5) @ Cleveland

Cincy’s front 7 is the best in the NFL. Don’t really need much more of a reason to pick them in this one.

@SvDubs34

Kansas City (-4.5) vs New York Giants

There is no reason to back the Giants against a conservative team that doesn’t turn the ball over.  Plus, the Chiefs have a top 10 D this year and the Giants O-Line is in shambles.

Seattle (-2.5) @ Houston

The last 11 games Seattle has won have been by an average of 21 points.  Houston has looked unimpressive despite their winning record.  Seattle by 10.

Cincinnati (-4.5) @ Cleveland

Cincy is 2-0-1 against the spread so far this year and they’re a little better than people realize.  Josh Gordon will keep the Browns in it for a half before folding over in the 4th.

Philadelphia (+11.5) @ Denver

Yes, Denver has looked unstoppable early on offense.  However, the Eagles have had 10 days to prepare for this game while the Broncos played on MNF.  The Broncos can’t keep blowing everyone out can they?

New Orleans (-6.5) vs Miami

Lock of the Week

@NotsoLittleJohn

Chicago (+3.5) @ Detroit

I get a team that is 3-0 and hasn’t scratched the surface of their potential plus 3.5 points!  I think Forte has a great day catching passes and Brandon Marshall goes catch for catch with Megatron, making his argument to be the best receiver in the game.  Take the points, easy money.

New York Giants (+4.5) @ Kansas City

This is a case of the spotlight being squarly on the G-Men.  I really don’t think they are as bad as the media is making them out to be.  The offensive line has looked horrendous.  I think the players will realize the slap in the face they took from Cam will be enough to motivate them to keep the game close.

Arizona (+3.5) @ Tampa Bay

Tampa is benching Josh Freeman and the wheels appear to be coming off. Arizona has played well this year.  One bad performance last week isn’t enough to deter me from a solid defense and a more than adequate offense.  Fitz should have a good game even with Revis covering him.  Look for rookie RB Ellington to make an impact.

New York Jets (+3.5) @ Tennessee

Titans have not impressed.  The Jets on the other hand have done the opposite.  The defense looks great and the offense is doing enough to get the win.  The public perception is yet to turn around for NY so its time to make money on them while you can.

New Orleans (-6.5) vs Miami

I love the Saints at home.  I think the Saints will win the division this year and I will continue to ride this train to the Promised Land.  The defense has improved from last year and the Graham / Brees connection is clicking on all cylinders.  No one will be able to stay with him on Miami.  2 TDs for Jimmy and at least one for a WR.  Saints by 10.
