Water Cooler Mondays

Another weekend of sports in the books, here is the AVS quick hits in case you can’t remember her name from the bar Saturday and need a recap

College Football

Florida State was the latest stop on  Lamar Jackson Heisman Tour.  This kid is for real and so is Louisville jumping into the top 5 in the polls by destroying #2 Florida State.

The biggest upset of the weekend goes to North Dakota State winning in Iowa!  Brutal lose for Iowa as their chances of making the playoffs disappear.

Don’t tell Notre Dame fans that winning is important as the Irish are now under .500 HA! HA! you know we like that one.  7! SEVEN! top 25 teams lost this week so this year is still up from grabbing if you can go  undefeated!

NFL

Giants squeak out a defensive battle with the Saints that no one saw coming.  under 30 points combined shows this game did not go as played but the $200M defense for the GMEN is going perfect.

The Pats lose another QB, this time to injury, and next week we see Jacboy back in Boston.  Not Ellsbury but rookie QB Briskett is expected to lead the team on a short week this Thursday.

Lions and Browns do Lions and Browns things and blow the win in games that had in control.  Viking open their awesome new stadium with a big win over the Packers.  Bradford trade works out this week but could AP be hurt??

Steelers steal one at home vs the Bengals.  As per usual when these two meet, drama followed.  Tough turnover probably cost the game for the Bengals but was he down?! Too close to call

Paging Seahawks offense!  The season started 2 weeks ago, time to play!  Rams win in their return to LA but have yet to score a TD all season go figure!

MLB

The Red Sox put the Yankees hopes of the playoff out to sea by finishing off a 3 game sweep in a weekend full of comebacks.  FUCK!

The Mets on the other hand look playoff bound as their hot streak continues and may actually host a playoff game this year at Citi.

Hockey

NHL isn’t too far away but the World Cup of Hockey is live and providing some great highlights for the Puck Daddys that can’t wait for the NHL Season.  The North American under 23 team (Yes that is a thing) is awesome to watch to get a glimpse of the next 10 years of the NFL.

Until next weekend, hydrate and don’t look at your bar tabs!
