Rivalry Week 13 Preview

Blood may be shed like this Yusef Kelly kick to the head during rivalry week This is the week in college football where record is irrelevant to many teams.  Look at Auburn this year:  3-8 overall and winless in the SEC.  In the eyes of many Auburn fans, the mediocrity of this season will be erased with a huge upset win over Alabama this week.  The Iron Bowl isn’t the only big rivalry game with BCS implications for one, or both, teams involved. We’ll do game by game for rivalry week.  #1 Notre Dame goes on the road to the Continue reading Rivalry Week 13 Preview

NBA SEASON PREVIEW

Let me preface this article by saying that I am (and have been) a Miami Heat fan since the early days.  Early days isn’t defined as the week before LeBron was signed in 2010, when Dan Lebatard and his father were making me more excited than when the Dolphins negotiating with Dante Culpepper (over Drew Brees).  I’ve been a fan since the Tim Hardaway days.  I am a REALIST when it comes to the Heat.  I knew off the bat they weren’t going to run the table the first year.  Take the media out of the picture, and they Continue reading NBA SEASON PREVIEW

The RISE and fall of the Notre Dame Fighting Irish

Te’o is a possible Heisman candidate Now I already know anything on the Irish will be a hot topic for debate.  But the past 20 years really have been about the rise and fall of the Notre Dame football program.  If Notre Dame goes undefeated and misses out on a national championship shot this year, they will another undefeated team added to the staggering number of 13 teams that have fallen victim to the BCS system. The rise I am referring to isn’t during the tenure of Lou Holtz.  Lou took the Irish to the 100 win mark over the Continue reading The RISE and fall of the Notre Dame Fighting Irish
