NFL Training Camp Outlook

Top 5 Storylines for NFL Training Camp 1. RGIII’s health RGIII ACL Injury Robert Griffin III dazzled the NFL in his rookie year, leading the Redskins to a NFC East division title.  Unfortunately, RGIII’s style of play cost the Skins a chance at a Super Bowl run once he went down with an ACL injury.  For the past few decades a torn ACL required 12 months of recovery, but he’s been fully cleared already!  He will need to be be careful with every snap he takes in practice.  Week 1 may still be an option but the smart play would be to Continue reading NFL Training Camp Outlook

Second Half MLB Outlook

5 storylines of the second half in MLB Miguel Cabrera, Detroit Tigers      Cabrera has been the in the spotlight since he was a 19 year old World Series hero for the Marlins.  He is now in his 11th year, 6th with the Tigers, and is putting historic numbers that haven’t been since Babe Ruth.  Miggy’s first half stat line currently sits at .360/30/95, those are stats that every big league player would love to have for a full year.  We are watching the greatest hitter of this generation put up numbers that are impossible to fathom.  Can he Continue reading Second Half MLB Outlook

Almost Varsity Sports’ Preseason Top 25

The United States of College Football 25 San Jose St 24 Oregon St 23 Northwestern22 Oklahoma 21 Northern Illinois 20 Wisconsin 19 Oklahoma St 18 Nebraska  17 Texas 16 Michigan 15 TCU     The Horned Frogs are one of my favorite teams of the 2013-2014 season.  Casey Paschall is one of my favorite collegiate players.  He is extremely underrated and was raved about in Almost Varsity’s college football preview last year.  After some off-field issues, Paschall was dismissed from the team and could not finish out the season.  He is back this year and will turn some heads across the country.
