Hot Soup Week 8 Picks

@AngelSteve89 Kansas City (-7.5) vs Cleveland The return of revolving QB door for Cleveland is back with Jason Campbell calling the shots this week.  KC is too good at home and should be able run away with this one. Green Bay (-9.5) at Minnesota Minnesota looked so bad last week and coming for a short week.  GB will defeat their division rival with ease. New York Giants (+5.5) at Philadelphia The Giants finally got their first win of the year.  Can a winning streak be in future?  Vick is not a 100% and will not take advantage of a bad Continue reading Hot Soup Week 8 Picks

Trade Adrian Peterson? Seriously.

Winning a championship in the NFL is an extremely difficult endeavor.  It requires a combination of so many different elements, many of which are outside the team’s control.  Injuries, one of those things outside of team control, play a central part in determining who hoists the Lombardi Trophy at the end of the year.  Some teams overcome it (take the 2010 champion Packers that placed 15 players on IR), but most teams are devastated when struck by the injury bug.  The 2011 Colts had no chance after the injury to their most important player, Peyton Manning.  What is a team Continue reading Trade Adrian Peterson? “If my hair were cut, I would lose my strength and be as weak as anybody else.” When Delilah realized that he had told her the truth, she sent a message to the Philistine kings and said, “Come back one more time. Then she began to torment him, for he had lost his strength. Then she shouted, “Samson! The Philistines are coming!” He woke up and thought, Continue reading World Series Preview

Waiver Wire Wednesday – 10/23

Well…that wasn’t any fun. Unfortunately, the headlines from Week 7 were dominated by devastating injury after devastating injury, highlighted by the career-threatening neck injury sustained by Packers TE Jermichael Finley. While the reports have been positive so far, there is no guarantee Finley will ever put the pads on again. This is a heart breaking blow to a very promising career. While it is important to take a moment and realize just how dangerous this game we all love can be, the NFL stops for no one, and Week 8 is right around the corner. Just like NFL GM’s and coaches Continue reading Waiver Wire Wednesday – 10/23

Hot Soup Week 7 Picks

We almost had our first undefeated Hot Soup week.  As we know almost doesn’t count in sports unless you write for this blog.  So congrats Angel Steve, perfection and a share of the lead. @AngelSteve89 New England (-4.5) @ New York Jets A big rivalry game on the road for New England.  I do not think they have a let down after their miraculous win over the Saints last week.  Brady walks into Giants Stadium (see what I did there) and shoves a foot in Rexs’ mouth (see I did it again). Chicago (+1.5) @ Washington The Bears struggled to Continue reading Hot Soup Week 7 Picks
