What Goalie Controversy?!

The Rangers do not have a goalie controversy, let’s get that out of the way now.  What they do have is two very talented goalies playing at a high level of hockey.  This sounds like a good thing to me.  Antti Raanta is getting the start tonight vs the Stanley Cup Champ Penguins.  Over the past few weeks some of the hockey world thinks that Lundqvist’s benching is a sign of concern for the Blueshirts and for the King’s future in NY.  I take this the complete opposite ways.  Lets take a quick look at the easy stats: King Henrik Continue reading What Goalie Controversy?!

More than a Game

Since the death of Jose Fernandez I have been trying to find a way to write an article about how massive of a loss Jose will be the sports universe.  He had all the talent in the world but more importantly he had all the joy in the world.  The stories continue to pour out from players around the league about how much he meant to the game.  I can’t imagine being a Marlins player last night in their first game since his passing, a game where he was scheduled to pitch no less. But the strangest thing happened in the Continue reading More than a Game

The biggest upset of the weekend goes to North Dakota State winning in Iowa!  Brutal lose for Iowa as their chances of making the playoffs disappear. Don’t tell Notre Dame fans that winning is important as the Continue reading Water Cooler Mondays
