NFL Football Week 4 Fantasy Tips

QBs

Start ‘Em:

Christian Ponder, Min – Ponder looked very good against the 49ers and I think he’s a solid bye week replacement for a Big Ben or Andrew Luck this week.  The Lions are giving up a ton of points and just gave up over 325 passing yards to Jake Locker and the Titans.  Don’t sleep on Ponder this week.

Ryan Fitzpatrick, Buf – The Patriots are giving up a ton of points on the air and I have a feeling this will be a shootout up in Buffalo.  If we were a few months down the road I’d be nervous to start Fitzpatrick in Buffalo.  He’s had a good first three weeks and he should have another nice week against the Pats.

Start of the Week: Andy Dalton, Cin – Dalton is a top 10 QB so far this year and I think he’s playing his way into another very nice season.  He has the Jags this week and that defense shouldn’t scare anyone.

Sit ‘Em: Michael Vick, Phi / Jake Locker, Ten / Cam Newton, Car

RBs

Start ‘Em:

Ryan Matthews, SD – Ryan Matthews is finally back from injury and I think he’s in for a very nice season.  An extremely subpar Kansas City defense will let Matthews run wild.

Marshawn Lynch, Sea – Lynch is playing a Rams team that will continue to surprise people this year.  However, Lynch has been a workhorse this year and will continue to tote the rock for the Seahawks while the inexperienced, and a little over his head, QB, Russell Wilson is under center.

Start of the Week: Arian Foster, Hou – I know. I know.  It’s a gimme.  Arian Foster.  Playing an absolutely horrendous run defense, Arian will run wild on Sunday.  I hope you’re not playing against him.

Sleepers: Cedric Benson, GB / Alfred Morris, Wash
Sit ‘Em: Chris Johnson, Ten / Shonn Greene, NYJ / Frank Gore, SFO

WRs

Start ‘Em:

Roddy White, Atl – Roddy continues to get a ton of targets from Matt Ryan and a beat up Carolina team will allow Matt Ryan to throw all over.

Jordy Nelson & Greg Jennings, GB – The Saints defense looks awful the first three weeks of the season.  Aaron Rodgers is going to have a field day on this defense and it will surely be a shootout.  Look for big numbers from the QBs and the biggest beneficiaries of it, the Packers receivers.

Start of the Week: Brandon Lloyd, NE – The Patriots are in danger of losing three straight games.  It hasn’t happened in forever.  There is zero chance that Tom Brady lets that happen.  Brandon Lloyd will benefit from that.  Big Time

Sleepers: Ramses Barden, NYG, Steve Johnson, Buf
Sit ‘Em: Vincent Jackson, TB / Miles Austin, Dal

TEs

Start ‘Em:  Kyle Rudolph, Minn / Owen Daniels, Hou / Brandon Myers, Oak / Antonio Gates, SD
Sit ‘Em: Brent Celek, Phi / Jared Cook, Tenn
