One last College Football Game! Hopefully you have been following us all year and raking in the cashhhh. CFB Hot Soup Picks: +15 units Bowl Season: +7.45 Units So close to game time. The rematch is happening. Clemson. Alabama. I know Clemson is the trendy pick but I can’t see the Alabama offense moving the ball against a top 5 defense. Jalen Hurts has been brutal against top 25 defenses this year. This is the chance for Clemson to take down its first national title since 1981. The weapons are plentiful. Mike Williams, Artavis Scott, Ray Ray Mccloud, Jordan Leggett, Continue reading National Championship Game
Last night after my Giants got their teeth knocked in by the Packers and ended our season I watched the Golden Globes for a little bit. Why not watch rich, mostly white people, get all dressed up and pat themselves on the back for a few hours. Few shout out about the winners, Casey Affleck was so good in Manchester by the Sea, it was well deserved and same for Donald Glover, I’ve been a big fan of his for years and Atlanta is a fantastic new show. Also I haven’t seen it yet but La La Land better be Continue reading Pop Culture: Hey Meryl, get lost!
Raiders at Texans (-3.5, O/U 36.5) The game we all have been waiting for, the first game of the NFL Playoffs. In one corner we have Rookie Connor Cook and in the other we have the $72M dollar man Brock Oslweiler. Ok fine, this isn’t the exact game we were hoping for when the season started. You would assume Derek Carr needed to have an MVP type year (he did) for Oakland to make its return to the playoff and JJ Watt needed to have another monster year on the other side of the ball (which he did not). But Continue reading Wild Card Weekend
Jalen Hurts, Jake Browning, Deshaun Watson, and JT Barrett lead their respective teams into battle today. This is the day college football fans have been waiting for. 128 teams fought for the opportunity, but only four remain. Alabama (-14) vs Washington; 51 The Crimson Tide have been unbeatable this year and rolled through the competition (see what I did there?). Jalen Hurts has had his turnover problems this year, which should scare the Alabama faithful. Where this Alabama team stands out, like usual, is in the trenches. The physicality of the defensive and offensive lines is unmatched. Hurts has added Continue reading College Football Playoff… This Is It
We are all Team Big Blue over here at AVS but that shouldn’t stop us talking about New Jersey Team B. The Jets have really helped us on in our Homer picks each week! Week 17 is meaningless for both New York teams but for very different reasons, the Giants will most likely be resting guys as the prepare for their Wild Card opponent and the Jets will just be wishing the game will be over quickly and the offseason can start. But the offseason hasn’t been too kind either for Gang Green. They draft poorly and prioritize FA incorrectly, Continue reading Just End The Season: But what about next season?
